The Ypsi/Arbor Student Forest Project is a place-based, STEAM education collaborative. Launched in 2017 by We Are The Forest, the project focuses on the “Ypsi/Arbor Corridor” as the focal point of its work. We Are The Forest partners with schools, teachers and students within the corridor, and facilitates nature-based sustainability programming by teaching hands-on solutions to climate change, stormwater management and community resilience. Students in the program spend time outdoors connecting with Nature’s genius, learn technical skills for the emerging sustainability workforce, and complete green infrastructure analysis and installation projects at their schools.
